I've been coming to this soul food restaurant for many years with my family after church, when I was younger. I recently visited Chicago and required my friends take me here for old time's sake. The food is always fresh and they make you feel like family. Our server was so sweet. Now, whenever I'm in Chicago, I must stop by for lunch or dinner.
Food was great! Every piece of food was delicious! No complaints. Customer service is lacking but I may be bias because Im used to "southern hospitality". But I didnt really care because the food was perfect.

This is ALWAYS a go-to spot of mine whenever I'm in Chicago! They always have quick service, a great soundtrack of music playing, and THE FOOD IS PERFECTION! Had the dark meat fried chicken, with 2 waffles topped with strawberries, and a side of mac and cheese. DE-LIC-IOUS! But also...so many options on their menu! I really wanted to get the catfish as well...maybe I'll go back again before my trip ends. This spot is a staple and I cannot recommend highly enough. There were many people dining inside and they accept online orders and I saw a lot of folks coming in to pick up their food to-go. Definitely visit Chicago's Home of Chicken and Waffles.
Soooo today I decided to order carry out instead of going to the restaurant. When I tell you the food tasted just as good....honey it tasted just as good!! Food was still hot and fresh. I don't think I've ever had a bad order in my life. I'm so addicted to this meal and I need to try something else but it's just so good and so tasty!
